ATHENS —

All of the proceeds benefitted the Endowed Kevin Till Memorial Rodeo Scholarship at TVCC. The winners of the events were awarded buckles as well as money.
The winning header was Kirby Hill and the winning heeler was Kolby Miller. Miller, who currently rodeos for TVCC, and his partner Wenceslao “Lightning” Aguilera, are ranked first in the Southern Region National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association standings. Lightning is also the 2012-2013 recipient of the Kevin Till Scholarship.
Along with the adult team roping was a silent auction, vendors and a dummy roping for the kids. The winners of the dummy roping were Kurtlee Smith, Carter Almon and Shelby Jones. They were also awarded buckles.
Many thanks to the members of Living For The Brand Cowboy Church for hosting the event each year and for the many hours of preparations that go into making the event a success. Special thanks also goes to Tractor Supply for donating prizes.
