Eustace drops to 2-2 with 14-7 loss to Castleberry Friday night

EUSTACE — The Eustace Bulldogs lost a hard-fought 14-7 non-district contest to Fort Worth Castleberry Friday night at the Boneyard.

Daniel Hester had the only score for the Bulldogs as he caught a 72-yard pass completion from Steven Stine to tie the game up in the second quarter.

Eustace gave up a seven-yard touchdown run to Castleberry's Christian Cardona in the first quarter and a seven-yard touchdown run from Alex Scallion in the fourth quarter.

Castleberry outgained Eustace, 284-251, with all of their yards coming on the ground.

Jesus Barcenas was the leading rusher with 13 carries for 74 yards, while Stine rushed for 62 yards on 11 carries for the Bulldogs.

Eustace (2-2) will look to get back in the win column as they host Kemp next week for homecoming at the Boneyard.
