Athletes honored on All-East Texas baseball, softball teams

Athens — The Henderson County area had 18 athletes honored on the All-East Texas baseball and softball teams.

Those teams were released by the Tyler Morning Telegraph and

Athletes from Cross Roads and Malakoff were named honorable mention on the softball team.

For the Cross Roads  LadyCats, Maci Mattingly, Kaitlin Gordon, Savannah Himes and Kelsi Lookabaugh were honored.

For the regional finalist Malakoff Lady Tigers, Hazel Puempel, Georgina Salazar, Candace Denis, Abby Terzis, Jaynie Valero, Kaitlin Harris and Sierra Perez were named to the team.

On the honorable mention baseball team for Mabank were senior Kaleb Mandeville, junior Cody Thompson, freshman  Pearson Johannesen, and senior Adam Penix.

For Malakoff, Jett Foster,  Hunter Snow and Braylon Cable were named honorable mention.
