Athens —
The Athens Lady Hornets return to the softball diamond tonight against the Van Lady Vandals.
The varsity contest is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. with varsity action at Peg Cain Field. Junior varsity will be at around 5 p.m. at Peg Cain Field.
Coach Jamie Poteete’s team will travel to Mabank next Tuesday and wrap up the Easter week at Mineola.
Both varsity games are set to start at 6:30 p.m. with junior varsity set for 5 p.m.

Brownsboro Bearette Softball Camp
The Brownsboro Bearette Softball Camp is set for June 4-7 at the Brownsboro High School Field on the campus of Brownsboro High School.
Cost is $35 per camper.

Facing elimination on Saturday, the Athens Hornets (19-17) battled hard but came up short in the regional quarterfinals.
The defending state champion Pleasant Grove Hawks swept their second straight series with a 10-0 win on Friday and a 4-1 win on Saturday. -
