High school football, volleyball practices begin Monday
High school football and volleyball practices are set to begin Monday for most area districts.
The Athens Hornets football team, led by new head coach Paul Essary, will hit the field at 7:30 a.m. Monday.
Head volleyball coach Tosha Spain’s club will also hit the court. Their practice schedule for Aug. 3-6 is as follows:
• 9th-12th, 8 a.m.-11 a.m.
• 10th-12th, 2 p.m.-4 p.m.
• 9th grade only 4 p.m.-6 p.m.
A scrimmage will be held Aug. 7-8 at Eustace all day.
