FRIDAY NIGHT FLASHBACK: Malakoff bounces back with 53-7 thumping of Kemp

MALAKOFF — The Malakoff Tigers put together an impressive showing Friday night against the winless Kemp Yellowjackets in a 53-7 thumping at Tigers Stadium.

With the win, coach Jamie Driskell's Tigers are now 7-1 on the season and 3-1 in District 7-2A, Division I play. The Tigers will have next week off before a road game at Quitman on Nov. 1.

Coach Greg Anderson's team is now 0-7 on the year and 0-3 in district play. The Yellowjackets will host Quitman next week in a 7:30 p.m. kickoff.

Malakoff then recorded their first safety of the game as Kemp was unable to control the snap and the ball was fumbled out of the end zone with 1:19 remaining in the first half.
