The Brownsboro Bears held a 20-19 lead at the half but could not hold on during a 43-37 loss to the Canton Eagles Tuesday night.
With the loss, BHS is now 16-7 overall and 1-1 in District 15-3A play.
Davonte Givens led the way for the Bears with 16 points, while teammate Blake Ralson added 11 points in the loss.
Brownsboro will host the Athens Hornets Friday night. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m.

CAYUGA — The No. 6-ranked Cayuga Wildcats had another dominant performance in district play Tuesday night during their win over the Cross Roads Bobcats.
Cayuga held a 46-12 lead at the half.
Cross Roads is now 0-2 in District 18-A, Division 1 and will travel to Hubbard Friday night.
Tip-off for the game is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.

MABANK — The Mabank Lady Panthers improved to 4-0 in District 15-3A play with a 39-24 win over the Van Lady Vandals Tuesday night at Panther Gymnasium.
Kourtney Holyfield scored a game-high 19 points, four rebounds, four assists and three steals. The Panthers travel to Mineola Friday night to face off against the Lady Jackets. Tip-off is set for 6:15 p.m.

Brownsboro will host Athens on Friday.
