The Brownsboro Bearettes dropped to 0-2 in District 15-3A play with a 42-32 loss to the Mineola Lady Yellowjackets Tuesday night.
Brownsboro (12-9) was held to single digits in every quarter and trailed, 24-14, at the intermission.
Briana Warren led the Bearettes with eight points, while teammates Devin Carter and Sidney Hightower scored six points each.
In the junior varsity game, the Bearettes won 26-13, while the Bearettes freshman team won 16-15.
Brownsboro looks for their first district win as they travel to Van Friday night. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.

CANTON — The Mabank Lady Panthers improved to 2-0 in District 15-3A play with a 45-40 win over Canton Tuesday night.
The Lady Panthers were outscored, 17-1, in the second quarter of play and trailed 24-17 at intermission.
Bailey Swain led the Lady Panthers with a game-high 14 points, while teammate Meagan Holyfield added 10 points.
The Lady Panthers look to continue their winning streak Friday night as they host Athens.
Tip-off for the game is scheduled for 6:15 p.m.
