The fifth-ranked Trinity Valley Lady Cardinals returned to action Tuesday night with an 85-61 win over Hill College in the McLennan Shootout at McLennan Community College.
The win raised the Lady Cardinals’ season record to 13-1.
The Lady Cardinals had four players in double figures, led by Savannah Carter with 23.
Shannon Smith had 19, Shlonte’ Allen 18 and Julianne Anchling 14.
The Lady Cardinals are scheduled to return to Region XIV Conference action Jan. 9.
They will travel to Brenham to take on No. 14-ranked and unbeaten Blinn (13-0).
Game time is 5:30 p.m.
The next home game for the Lady Cardinals is Jan. 16 against Kilgore.
The Cardinals are scheduled to make their 2013 debut Saturday at home against Lee College.
Tipoff at Cardinal Gym is 4 p.m.
First-year coach Kris Baumann’s squad is 11-4 on the year and 2-2 in Region XIV Conference play.
The Cardinals travel to Brenham to take on Blinn on Jan. 9.
They be at home on Jan. 12 to face Coastal Bend at 4 p.m.
