JUNIOR COLLEGE VOLLEYBALL: Road show continues for TVCC Lady Cardinal volleyball team

Athens — Eleven games into the volleyball season, the Trinity Valley Community College Lady Cardinals have yet to play at home. That will not change until next week.

The Lady Cardinals continue their road show Friday and Saturday in tournament action at North Central Texas College in Gainesville.

Friday’s schedule has Coach Tosha Spain’s 5-6 squad, which last year  posted the best season in school history, taking on Lee College at 10 a.m. and host NCTC at 3:15 p.m.

Saturday, the Lady Cardinals tangle with Neosho Community College at 10 a.m. and Panola College at 3:15 p.m.

The tournament features two five-team pools. The winner of each pool will square off in the championship game at 5 p.m. Saturday.

The Lady Cardinals are scheduled to finally play in the friendly confines of Cardinal Gym on Wednesday, Sept. 11, when they host Paris Junior College in their conference opener. Action begins at 7 p.m.
