WHITEHOUSE —
All the practicing, all the waiting and rain delays, all the miles driven has come down to this.
With an 8-5 win over the Palmer Bulldogs Friday, the Senators earned a spot in Saturday’s Texas Teenage Baseball Machine Pitch state championship game.
The Senators will play the Whitehouse Warriors at 6 p.m. Saturday. Because the Senators are the tournament’s only remaining undefeated team, they would have to be beaten twice to miss out on the title.
On Thursday, the Senators beat the Warriors, 14-5.
The Senators led throughout, scoring three in the first and two in the second to take a 5-2 lead. They scored one more in the fourth and two in the sixth.
Kobe Kale and Colby Green had three RBI each, Karson Godwin had two RBI on a single in the second that scored Triston Fisher and Zach Cornelius.
