KAUFMAN — The Kaufman Lions rolled past the Mabank Panthers, 39-0, in the non-district finales for both teams Friday night.
Kaufman, which fell 34-7 to Van last week, used a no-nonsense defense to prevent the Panthers from ever mounting a threat.
The Panthers were unable to build on the momentum of last week's first win of the season, a 31-7 decision against backyard rival Kemp.
Mabank slipped to 1-4 going into its open week.
