FRIDAY NIGHT FLASHBACK: Abbott storms past Trinidad, 54-6

ABBOTT — Using a 32-point second quarter, the Abbott Panthers rolled past the Trinidad Trojans, 54-6, in a non-district contest Friday night.



The Panthers, who raised their record to 4-1, jumped on Trinidad for a 16-0 lead after one quarter and finished off the Trojans via the 45-point mercy rule in the third quarter.

Zach Spencer scored the lone Trinidad touchdown in the second quarter. Spencer was Trinidad's offensive leader, rushing for 145 yards on 25 carries. He also had six tackles to lead the Trinidad defense.

Abbott ran for 249 yards and passed for 99 in dropping Coach Kevin Ray's Trojans to 3-2 on the season.

Trinidad lost a pair of fumbles.
