AREA BASKETBALL: Brownsboro beats Harmony 57-41, wins Mt. Vernon tournament

MT. VERNON — The Brownsboro Bearettes took care of business in the Mt. Vernon tournament with a 57-41 win over Harmony Saturday afternoon.

Tamaria Manning and Devin Carver finished with 13 points each, while teammate Sidney Hightower added 10 points.

The turning point of the contest came in the third quarter as Brownsboro outscored Harmony, 17-7.

Brownsboro’s Victoria Walker added eight points, while Shelbie Bagby scored seven points.

Brownsboro will return to the court tonight hosting Rusk at 5 p.m.
