Cross Roads to face Grapeland

— The District 21-A and area champion Cross Roads Bobcats are scheduled to face the Grapeland Sandies in a best-of-three regional quarterfinal series starting Thursday in Jacksonville. Game 1 is set to begin at 7 p.m.
Game 2 is scheduled at 7 p.m. Friday, also in Jacksonville. Should a third game be needed, it would be played at 2 p.m. Saturday in Jacksonville.
Coach Robert Hughes- Cross Roads squad defeated Chester in a best-of-three area round playoff series played Friday and Saturday at Rusk. The Bobcats were a 10-5 winner in Game 1 Friday and posted a 5-4 win in eight eight innings Saturday.
The Cross Roads-Grapeland winner advances to face the Maud-Carlisle winner in the regional semifinals next week.
