Lake Nacogdoches in East Texas and Lake Austin in Central Texas were recently stocked with 33,000 surplus bass from the state's Operation World Record program. The fish are descendants of Bud ShareLunkers, which means they may possess genes that will allow them to grow larger and faster than fish spawned in the wild.
