I live out of town and out of state, but as a former resident of Henderson County I scan your Review online frequently in an effort to monitor the pulse of the old stomping ground.
I saw the editorial by the Liberal “Whino” Art Lawler a week or two back relating to the Greatest Generation. I was sure hoping his views and opinions were not representative of the community in which I grew up and learned right from wrong. I have been watching with interest awaiting letters to the editor and some forum discussions of his opinions which don’t seem to fit well with the attitudes of the good East Texas folks I knew.
Since I have seen nothing in that area I decided to jump in and make a contribution to the forum myself. To my surprise I found an “Inconvenient Computer Malfunction,” that just might be a partial explanation for the lack of comments. I notice the footnote at the end of his trash saying he was a former staff writer for the Review, but had moved on to the Cedar Creek Pilot.
Next time he moves, recommend Cuba, Venezuela or perhaps Massachusetts. I think his views will fit in better in any one of those communities.

Editor’s note: Cuba? Why not farther? If we’re going to send off our most curious, lovable, suspicious, paranoid, inquisitive and seasoned reporter, we’re gonna do it right. And we called Massachusetts. They declined our offer. Said he’s too liberal.
