Danny Ray Joubert

Athens — MALAKOFF-A memorial service for Danny Ray Joubert, 67 of Malakoff is scheduled for 1:00 P M Monday, June 16, 2014 at the East Texas Arboretum with Rev. Lynette Solomon officiating.

Mr. Joubert passed away June 4, 2014 at his residence.

Danny was born in Port Arthur February 17, 1947 to Raymond and Jacquelyn Thompson Joubert. During his early years he was in the Cub Scouts. He was also a paperboy and in his early 20’s worked with his dad at the DuPont Refinery in Orange. He was employed during summer months to help finance his college studies. Danny graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1965. He then attended Lamar University where he earned a BBA in accounting and was elected into Phi Kappa Phi and the National Honor Society. He continued his studies and received an MBA in accounting in 1971. He was recruited from college to work for Dresser Industries, Inc. and worked there 26 years in many capacities including financial accounting, internal audit and tax. While employed as supervisor of internal audit, Danny traveled extensively throughout the world. He was employed by Tetra Technologies, Inc. from 1996 until 1999. In 2000 he earned his CNA certificate at Kemp Nursing Center. In December 2005 he earned his CMA certificate from Trinity Valley Community College in Athens. Danny had been employed by South Place Nursing Center since 2005. He loved and was loved by the residents of the nursing home. He will be truly missed by all. Danny touched the lives of many and we are blessed for the privilege of having known and loved him.

Danny is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include sisters Deanna Diane Fox, Theresa Joubert, Jennifer Poche and Freida Brasseaux; brother Raymond Joubert, Jr.
