ATHENS-A memorial service for Del Reierson, 87 of Athens is scheduled for 11:00 A M Saturday in First Christian Church with Rev. Lynette Solomon officiating.
Her cremains will be interred at Post Oak Cemetery beside her late husband Charles T. “Dude” Reierson.
Mrs. Reierson died April 16, 2014 in Athens.
She was born December 8, 1926 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to the late Roy Howard and Alma Louise Willis Henson. Del moved to Athens in 1947. She and “Dude” were married September 6, 1953 in Athens. Del had a 35 year career as a Licensed Vocational Nurse for Dr. Albert Duphorne at Wolfe-Duphorne Hospital and had been a member of First Christian Church since 1953. Mrs. Reierson diligently worked many years promoting the Golden Era Reunions for the Athens High School ex graduates. For more than 18 years Del taught Arthritis Aquatic Classes at Cain Center.
Survivors include her daughter Mandy Mugavero and husband Mike, Athens; son Bill Reierson, Brushy Creek; sister Charlotte Black, Athens; grandchildren Amy Jensen and husband Duane, Santa Ana, California, Will Reierson, Brushy Creek, Jessica Reierson, Bremen, Indiana, John Reierson, Nacogdoches, Jennifer Willingham and husband Allan, Malakoff, Tony Mugavero and wife Erin, Denver, Colorado; six great grandchildren.
