ATHENS-Graveside services for Vivian “Viv” Youkey, 81, Athens, are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at Shelby Chapel Cemetery Pavilion under the direction of Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home, Athens.
Mrs. Youkey died Friday evening in Tyler.
She was born in Plymouth, Ind. September 28, 1931 to the late Lester Ernest and Mary Evans Inks.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, William J. Youkey, 2005, brothers, Gordon Inks, Charles Inks, and Harold Inks.
Viv was a resident of Athens since 1977 formerly of Schaumberg, Ill. She was a member of the Church of Christ, and she loved to sew, make quilts, crochet and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Survivors include her son, Jeff Youkey and wife Debra, Bullard, daughters, Patti Boyd and husband Robert, Athens, Jeanette Trotter and husband Bob, Sandy Duff and husband Chuck, all of Waggoner, Ill. 6 grandchildren, Lori Robinson, Kelly Bowsher, Cole Boyd, Kimberly Trotter, Justin Youkey, and Hayden Boyd, 4 great grandchildren, Carly Bowsher, Luke Bowsher, Brayden Reed, and Kali Robinson..
The Family would like to make a special Thanks to the staff of Emeritus-Pinehurst Senior Living in Tyler, and Heart to Heart Hospice for the special care given to our mother.
