Chandler – Funeral services for Hazel Fay Ross Thomison, 83, of Chandler, formerly of Athens, are scheduled for 3 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012 at Chandler First Assembly of God Church in Chandler.
Mrs. Thomison went to be with her precious Lord and Savior on Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012 in Tyler.
Hazel Fay Thomison was born the daughter of William Arthur David Ross and Lillie Mae Garrison Ross on Feb. 28, 1929 in Simpson, Okla.
“Sister T” was a member of the Chandler First Assembly of God Church, and a dedicated, loving Pastors wife for over 65 years, serving churches in Oklahoma and Texas.
She was a seamstress and a great cook, but especially loved her Texas Rangers baseball team. Hazel loved spending time with all of her family, but she had a very special place in her heart for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and Mema and will be greatly missed by all she touched.
She was preceded in death by her parents and several brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Thomison is survived by her husband of 65 years, Rev. J.W. Thomison of Chandler, her two sons; James and wife Dana Thomison of Chandler, and Terry and wife Darla Thomison of Murchison, one daughter, Teresa and husband Jeff Munns of Walton Community, one brother, Oliver Wendyl and wife Aundrea Ross of Madill, Okla., nine grandchildren, Jamie Boyd, Ty and wife Trista Thomison, Kimbra Carnahan, Chris and wife Cheyenne Thomison, Cameron Thomison, Justin Thomison, Winfield Munns, Thomas Munns, Amanda and husband Chris Bell, 16 great-grandchildren, Jake Boyd, Joey Boyd, Tyler Thomison, Tucker Thomison, Tori Thomison, Justus Carnahan, Autumn Carnahan, Jaxon Carnahan, Cutter Thomison, Shiloh Thomison, Micaiah Thomison, Kaitlyn Thomison, Tessa Thomison, Connor Munns, Liberty Munns and Isaac Munns.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012 at the Chandler First Assembly of God Church.
Pallbearers will be Ty Thomison, Chris Thomison, Cameron Thomison, Justin Thomison, Winfield Munns and Thomas Munns.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the great-grandsons.
Arrangements are entrusted to Hannigan Smith Funeral Home of Athens.
