EUSTACE — Funeral services for W. C. Brooks, 88, Athens, will be Saturday, 11 a.m., Mount Calvary Baptist Church, Athens, with the Rev. L. L. Jackson officiating.  Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.  Mr. Brooks died Nov. 6, 2012 in Canton.

 He was born Feb. 22, 1929 in Tyler, and graduated from Stanton High School.  He was a 30-plus year resident of Henderson County.  He was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Tyler,  and was a truck driver.

He served in the U.S. Army, and was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

 Survivors include: wife, Wallystene Brooks, Athens, one son, Edgar Stewart, Athens, three daughters, Walla Cumby (Henry), Renice Sherman (Joe) and LaShun Moore (Keevin) all of Athens, three grandchildren, ShaKevia Moore, Aaliyah Moore and Aamiyah Moore, all of Athens, one niece, Lanesia Pennington, Tyler.
