ATHENS-Funeral services for Hazel Lois (Garner) Brannon, 93, Athens, are scheduled for 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012 in Carroll-Lehr Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Larry Fondren officiating.
Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Park.
Hazel died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012 in Athens.
She was born Dec. 12, 1918 in Martins Mill to the late Douglas and Carrie Newby. She was married 50 years to James Robert Garner, the father of her children.
Four years after Mr. Garner’s passing, she married T. C. Brannon. Hazel was a member of Landmark Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 20 years, T. C. Brannon and son Jerry Garner.
Survivors are daughter Janet Williams and husband David, Lindale, sons James Garner and wife Paula, Kemp, widow of Jerry, Suzanne Garner, Mike Garner and wife Amanda, Kaufman, Royce City, nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Chad Garner, Robert Garner, Steven Garner, Bart Williams, Ethan Florence and Ted Crouch.
Visitation for family and friends will be 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Landmark Baptist Church, 1313 S. Palestine St., Athens, TX 75751.
