Athens – A Memorial Gathering for Darryl Cain will be held on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012 starting at 2 p.m. at his residence on Harmony Acres. The family would love to have all his friends stop by, and join them in celebrating his life.
Darryl D. Cain passed from this life on Oct. 9, 2012 in Athens.
Darryl was born on May 2, 1963 in Fort Worth to Bernie Luther Cain and Nancy Lou Yates Cain.
He was a Christian man who loved his family, and especially his nieces and nephews. Darryl was a retired Navy Veteran serving proudly on the USS John F. Kennedy during Desert Storm. He was a member of the Trinidad VFW Post No. 4133.
Darryl was an avid outdoorsman, and loved spending time with his dog "Toby.” He was a very intelligent man, known for his sense of humor. He loved to travel the world, and was also afforded the opportunity to do so through his job driving a truck for KBR Trucking, where he did jobs on several Continents. Darryl was a loving son, brother, uncle and cousin, and will be greatly missed by all that he leaves behind.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
Darryl is survived by his mother Nancy Yates of Athens, his sister Terri Lozano of Athens, his twin brother David and wife Tanya McFatridge of Cranfills Gap, Texas, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Arrangements were entrusted to Hannigan Smith Funeral Home of Athens.
