Athens –A Masonic Graveside service for Henry Bivin (Bill) Tiner, 87, of Athens is scheduled for 3 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012 at the LaRue Cemetery in LaRue.
He passed away Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012 in Tyler.
Bill was born Sept. 13, 1924 in the LaRue area of Henderson County to H.J. and Maude Griffith Tiner. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Bill married Martha Jo Battles in 1945, and they had two sons, Larry and Jimmy Tiner. In 1960, he married Wynelle Ray and then had daughter, Lori K. He was employed by Proctor and Gamble in Dallas for 37 years, retiring to LaRue in 1984. Bill was a 32nd Degree Mason, a member at William Foster Lodge No. 312 AF & AM in Frankston.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Haskell and Durwood Tiner; sisters Gladys Denny, Magnell Hallmark, Thelma Boyd, Wilma Drew and June Harris.
Bill is survived by sons and daughters-in-law Larry and Jill Tiner of Athens, Jim and Belinda Tiner of Fayetteville, N.C.; daughter Lori and husband, Mike DeAngelis of Orange Beach, Ala.; four grandchildren Larry Tiner, Jr. of Eustace, Eric and Nicole DeAngelis of Orange Beach, Ala., Southern DeAngelis and Steve Hobart of Orange Beach, Ala., Ryan DeAngelis of Orange Beach, Ala.; four great-grandchildren Samantha Tiner, Kylea DeAngelis, Shelby Hobart and Kash DeAngelis.
Bill will be greatly missed by all.
Pallbearers are Larry Tiner, Lori Tiner, Larry Tiner, Jr., Mike DeAngelis, Eric DeAngelis and Ryan DeAngelis.
Visitation will be from noon until 1:30 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012 at the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home of Athens.
Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of the professionals at the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home of Athens.

Linder ‘LR’ Ray Cliver
Linder ("LR") Ray Cliver passed away in his daughter's home in Corinth on May 17, 2012. LR was born in Athens on Jan. 20, 1938, to the late Alfred Edward, Sr. and Lola Mae Cliver. LR lived his entire life in Malakoff, except for a short period when he worked for Houston Power & Light. He has owned and operated Cliver's Garage in Malakoff for the past 30 years or more.

He was born July 13, 1929 in Coolville, Ohio, the oldest son of Earl and Margaret White. -

A Requiem Mass for the repose of the soul of Frances Celia Grady, 95, Tyler, will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, 18221 FM 2493, Flint, Texas under the direction of Fr. Timothy Kelly.
Burial of cremains will be in North Carolina. -
