Services for Mary Elizabeth Carter of Mabank will be held on Friday, May 17, 2013 at Eubank Cedar Creek Memorial Chapel with Dan Carter and Bob Patterson officiating. Interment to follow the service at Chinquapin Cemetery.
Mary was born on April 12, 1924 in Haskell to parents Robert and Lida (Nash) Highnote, and entered into eternal rest on May 14, 2013 at the age of 89. Mary went to Haskell High School. At the age of 16, she was double-promoted, and graduated in 1940. She also attended Abilene Christian College. Mary was a member of Mabank Church of Christ Church, and participated in the Women’s Bible Study.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by: her daughters, Frances McAnnally and husband Garry of Edom, Linda Teague and husband Larry of Mabank, Elaine Davis and husband Kenneth of Canton, Carolyn Easley and husband Danny of Canton; sons Charles Carter and wife Carol of Mabank, Carl Carter and wife Linda of Mabank, Bobby Carter and wife Cassie of Mabank, Barry Carter and wife Sheila of Mabank; five granddaughters; 11 grandsons; 23 great-grandchildren; sisters Jo Hutchins of Coleman, Robbie Marks of Coleman; other loving family members and many friends.
