Athens —
Bobby "Scooter" Dunn, 33, of Trinidad, passed away Sunday in Corpus Christi. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Paschal Funeral Home. Funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m., Saturday, March 9 at Kerens First Baptist Church with Dr. Gary Johnston and the Rev. Gary Combs officiating. Burial will follow in the Kerens Cemetery.
Scooter was a thoughtful husband, number-one dad and a true friend. He always made sure his wife and kids had what they needed, and always put them first. They were his world.
His friends were his right arms. He would stop what he was doing to help out in any way he could. His famous saying, that we all called his trademark, was "Whats up bubba."
There were two very special people in his life that not just him, but everyone called "Mimi and Pap." They were his world. He loved his Mimi and Pap, and always wanted to make them happy.
Scooter worked with his dad doing asphalt work. His dad could always leave a job knowing that when he returned, the job was done perfect. He was a perfectionist. Scooter will be missed by so many people. He never met a stranger, and always had good things to say about everything.
He is survived by his wife, Ginger Dunn of Trinidad; son, Bobby "Elli" Dunn, III of Kerens; daughters, Kayenne Dunn and Sage Dunn both of Trinidad; sister, Derinda Scott of Kerens; stepsisters, Cassie Warren of Kerens, Kandice Stamey of Mildred and Lauren Cline of Teague; stepbrothers, T.J. Stamey of Athens and Justin Cline of Lampasas; father, Bobby G. Dunn, I of Seagoville; mother, Darla Cline of Kerens; grandparents, Bobby and Yvonne Combs of Kerens. Paschal Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
