Athens — MALAKOFF-Funeral services for Tony Gilfillan, 38, Malakoff are scheduled for 10 a.m., Monday at First Baptist Church, Malakoff, with Dr. Nathan Lorick officiating.

Burial will follow in Concorde Cemetery in Anderson County.

Mr. Gilfillan died Thursday, July 11, 2013 in Tyler.

He was born April 9, 1975 in St. Paul, Minn. to James Wayne Gilfillan, Sr. and Elizabeth Catheryn Rettenmayer Gilfillan, and had been a resident of Texas since 1978, growing up in Corsicana. Tony had resided in Malakoff the past 10 years, and was owner of Rightway Flooring. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Malakoff. He loved four-wheeling, fishing and all activities in the outdoors.

Tony was preceded in death by his father-in-law Ben Fitzgerald.

Survivors include: his wife of 10 years, Andrea Gilfillan, Malakoff; sons, Christian Gilafillan, Malakoff, Arron Bynum, Mildred; parents Jim and Betty Gilfillan, Star Harbor; brothers Jim Gilfillan, Jr. and wife Tiffany, John Gilfillan and wife Darla, both of Corsicana; sisters Michelle Beard and husband Bramlet, Ennis, Christina Jones, Houston; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Pallbearers will be Noah Gilfillan, Scott Gilfillan, Justin Munn, Wyatt Fitzgerald, Carl Adams and Brian Latham.

 Visitation for family and friends will be 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.,  Sunday at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home.
