ATHENS-Services for Charlene Stone, 73, Athens, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Thursday in Carroll-Lehr Funeral Chapel with Chaplain Donald Kyle officiating.
Burial will follow in Shelby Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Stone died May 12, 2013 in Athens.
She was born July 29, 1939 in Great Bend, Kans. to Charles Curtis and Hazel Annabel Hare Blandin, and had been a resident of Athens most of her life. She graduated from Henderson County Junior College (TVCC) as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in 1975. She had a 35-year nursing career, with a 25 year tenure at Park Highland Nursing Home, and 10 years at Rusk State Hospital. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Charlene was preceded in death by daughter, Tracy Ann Miller; brothers Jack, Harold, Dean, Donald; sister, Doris; and infant siblings Jerry and Shirley.
Survivors include her husband James Stone, Athens; son Jeffery Miller, Reklaw; daughters Cara Deen Hammett and husband Jimmy, Mount Enterprise, Teresa Jane Neal and husband Glenn, Edom, Melody Kelley and husband Kenney, Wallisville, Stacy Jan Raffield and husband John, Rusk; brothers Gary Rosenstiel, San Antonio, Richard Whittaker, Pueblo, Colo., Dale Blandin, Mulvane, Kans., Charles Blandin, Jr., Lawton, Okla.; sisters Phyllis Hart, Chandler, Pat Niece, Boise, Ida.; 22 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Blake Parker, Kevin Kelley, Brian Kelley, Clint Miller, Kaylon Miller, Bradley Miller, Coley Douglas.
Visitation for family and friends will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
