Hazle Annie Williams, 88, passed away in Athens, Texas on Thursday, January 10, 2013.
Hazle was born on August 8, 1924 to Wilkie Collins and Carrie Lydia (Pinkard) Siddell. She grew up in Henderson County and graduated from Athens High School.
She worked as a receptionist for Dr. Nolan Geddie, Sr. for over twenty years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and was a member of the Joy Choir. She was an avid quilter and was a member of the Pea Patcher Quilting Club.
She is survived by sons: Kenneth Williams of Athens, Joe Williams and his wife, Patricia of Wichita Falls; daughters: Connie Williams of Athens, Carolyn and her husband Dewey Reynolds of New York Community, TX; grandchildren: Nicky Reynolds and his wife, Daisy, Ryan Reynolds and his wife, Kristy, Brandi and her husband, Glen Splawn, Suzanne Smith, Stephen Williams and his wife Clair, Rebecca and her husband, Ryan Rachelle; great-grandchildren: Conner, Carleigh, Landon and Kate Reynolds, Paden Splawn, Haley and Grant Smith, Addison and Tinley Rachelle and Colette Williams, and one sister, Louise Rhoden of Athens.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ray Williams, infant daughter, Rita Williams and sister, Evelyn Siebman.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2013 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home in Athens. A Celebration of her life will take place on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at 2 p.m. in the Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home in Athens. Pallbearers will be Nicky Reynolds, Ryan Reynolds, Stephen Williams, Ryan Rachelle, Glen Splawn and T.J. Reynolds. Interment will follow in the LaRue Cemetery under the direction of Carroll-Lehr and J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
