The Athens Review
William Karl DeNath was born May 1, 1953 in Athens, Texas to the late Dr. William DeGnath and Wynelle Wofford DeGnath. He passed away at the age of 60 on Jan. 11, 2014 after a brief illness.
He had been a resident of Athens, Denton, Waco, Dallas, and Fort Worth; Los Angeles, Calif. and Birmingham, Ala. He was currently employed by Dudley Hopton-Jones, Sims & Freeman, Certified Public Accountants of Birmingham.
William was a graduate of Athens High School, graduated from Henderson County Junior College in Athens, attended North Texas State University in Denton, and graduated from Baylor University and Baylor School of Law.
Survivors include one brother Robert M. DeGnath of Tyler and one sister, Wynelle DeGnath McDonald and brother-in-law James McDonald, of Tyler, and nephew Ryan Blake Richardson, of Dallas.
The family of William DeNath would like to thank New Beacon Hospice, Birmingham and the employees of Green Briar at Alta-Mont, Birmingham and Bill's many friends for the care provided to our brother.
