ATHENS-Graveside services for Ida Mae Meador, 59, Athens are scheduled for 11 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012 in Ash Cemetery with Rev. Charles Parker officiating.
Mrs. Meador died Saturday, Sept. 20, 2012 at her residence.
She was born Nov. 17, 1952 in Dallas. Mrs. Meador was a graduate of Canton High School and earned an associate degree at Henderson County Junior College. Ida had been a resident of Athens since 1970 and for 28 years she served as store manager of the Athens Shell Station and Convenience Store on East Tyler Street.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ida Lou Moorehead, and sister Georgia Johnson.
Survivors include husband George Meador, daughter Malissia Meador, both of Athens, sons Jack Moorehead, Ore City, James Moorehead and wife Carolyn, Longview, brother Clyde Moorehead and wife Martha, Atlanta, sister Wanda Harris, Flint.
Visitation for family and friends will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
