A visitation for Kathryn G. Files, 78, of Malakoff, formerly of New Jersey, was scheduled for 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012 at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home, Athens.
Mrs. Files died Monday, Sept. 24, 2012 at Cedar Lake Nursing Home.
She was born July 7, 1934 in Philadelphia, Pa.
Mrs. Files was a resident of Malakoff since 1994, and a member of Mary Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, Malakoff. She was also a member of the Eastern Star Lodge Athens Chapter No. 177. Mrs. Files loved to watch Fred Astaire dance.
Preceding Mrs. Files in death is her father, James Evans, husband, C.B. Files, sister, Ruth Junowitz, brother, Robert Evans and grandson, Paul Newmann .
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Kim and Steve Padgett, Malakoff, Cass and Jim Maguire, Honey Brook, Pa., sons and daughter-in-law, Wayne Pata, South Hampton, N.J., James Pata and wife Terry, Drakes Branch, Va., mother, Kathryn Evans, Malakoff, brothers, James Evans and Milton Evans, both of Malakoff, grandchildren, Rocky and Steven Padgett, Jason and Jen, Kelsey, Brandon, James, Mark, Kimberly, Jamie and Lisa, and one great-grandson, Jase.
The remains will be forwarded to Maxwell Funeral Home, 609-597-4411 for a visitation Friday 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., and graveside services Saturday 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary Parish Cemetery, Stafford Township, N.J.
