Athens - A memorial service and gathering of the friends and family of Misty Lynn Marsh, 45, of Athens have been scheduled for 4 p.m., Tuesday, July 23, at Fellowship Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Dean officiating.
Misty flew home on the wings of Angels to see Jesus Thursday July 11, 2013 in Dallas.
She was born Dec. 15, 1967 in Dallas to Bobby Dean and Linda Marylon Prewitt. Misty put her whole heart and soul into loving and caring for her two children. She was a woman of God, and her family was where her heart resided. She was able to pursue her passion of teaching children of all ages with her degree in Child Life Development and other studies she received from Trinity Valley Community College.
She took pride in being the Director of the First Baptist Church Children’s Learning Center for many years. She had a love for animals and adored her puppy, Lexie. Misty also loved to cook and experiment with all kinds of creative recipes, and enjoyed cake decorating and scrapbooking. Misty was a loving mother, daughter, sister, wife and special friend, and will be greatly missed by all those she touched.
Misty was preceded in death by her mother Linda Marylon Prewitt.
Survivors include: her husband and soul mate of 26 years, Jerry Marsh; daughter, Daishia Marsh; son, Sabian Marsh; brother, Stewart Prewitt and wife Marsena; father, Bobby Dean Prewitt; mother and father-in-law, Gerald Glenn and Rachell L. Marsh; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
