Funeral Service for Harry Stone, 97, of Log Cabin were held Monday, Aug. 19, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Huckabee-Tomlinson Funeral Home in Malakoff with the Rev. Buddy Hazell officiating. Mr. Stone passed away on Aug. 16, 2013 in Hillsboro.
Harry was born on April 18, 1916 in Waco to Harry Frank Stone, Sr. and Anna Norris Stone. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II. He is a retired aircraft mechanic. He has been a member of the Masons since 1958. Mr. Stone worked for the Malakoff Independent School District as a school-bus driver and crossing guard.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harry, Sr. and Anna Stone, wife Nina Stone and daughter Mary Stone.
His is survived by his wife, Elaine Stone, son D.L. Stone and wife Jeannie, son Harry Frank Stone, III, son Darrell Stone and wife Patti and daughter Vivian Stone. He is also survived by his grandchildren, David Stone, Keith Stone, Chris Leake and great-grandchildren Rachel Hale and Elizabeth Stone.
Pallbearers were David Stone, Keith Stone, Keith Leake, Russell Slaton and Terry Helms.
Interment will be in the Payne Cemetery, Eustace.
