Athens — TRINIDAD-A memorial service for Bennie Rolison, 65, Trinidad, is scheduled for 3 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014 at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dan Boler officiating.

Mr. Rolison passed away Jan. 27, 2014 in Athens.

He was born Feb. 1, 1948 in Frankston to J. D. and Lena Mae Ellis Rolison. Bennie spent 23 years in law enforcement, working for City of Dallas, City of Athens, Henderson County and Department of Public Safety.  He spent the majority of his life in Trinidad.

He loved fishing, hunting and camping. Bennie also loved to metal detect, and search for arrowheads and Indian artifacts.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers James Ellis Rolison and Bobby Rolison.

Survivors include: wife of 42 years Vicki Rolison, Trinidad; sons Jason Rolison and wife Jade, Athens, Benji Rolison and wife Mandy, Canton; grandchildren Cooper Rolison, Katie Rolison, Molly Rolison; brother Darrell Rolison, Dallas; sisters Sissy Galvez, Seven Points, Maggie Morris, Gun Barrel, Ruthie Melton, Mesquite.

Visitation for family and friends will be 2 p.m. to 3  p.m., Saturday.
