Athens — CHANDLER-A memorial service for Ruby L. Williamson, 81, Chandler, is scheduled for 10 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013 at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Bill McNatt officiating.

Ruby passed away Oct. 8, 2013 in Tyler.

She was one of 10 children born to Edwin Gottlieb and Emma Louise Saenger Albers of Giddings and Houston. Ruby was a long-standing member of IOF/Forester’s, and held several officer positions. She was an active member of Sunrise Shores Women’s Club. She enjoyed bowling, dominoes with family and friends, campouts and volunteering. Her two best friends were “Pete” her dog and “Miss Kitty” her cat. Ruby will be missed by all who loved and knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Gus Albert Albers, William Reinholdt Albers, both of Houston, John Henry Albers, Bastrop, Edwin George Albers, Waco, sisters Clara Alma Albers, Houston and Minnie Mary Albers, Giddings.

Survivors are her brothers Ewald Ben and Doris Albers, Athens, Richard Robert and Retha Albers, Garland and Fred Gerhardt and Peggy Albers, Fairfield, many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
