Funeral services for Sharon Lucille Crawford, 64, of Palestine, will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, at Eastern Hills Church of Christ in Athens with the Rev. Gene Bishop officiating. Burial will follow at the Athens City Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Herrington / Land of Memory Funeral Home in Palestine.
Sharon passed away Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013, at Hospice of East Texas in Tyler.
She was born Aug. 1, 1949, in Athens to Jack Junell and Wanda Weaver Junell. She was a member of the Westwood Baptist Church in Palestine.
She cherished the time spent with her children, grandchildren, sisters, and her other extended family members. Sharon also loved giving to others and was a caretaker at heart. She was an avid shopper and enjoyed watching movies and gardening.
Sharon was preceded in death by: her parents; brother, Gary Junell; son, Stephen Ray Lookabaugh; and daughters, Janice Ann Crawford and Tina Malloy.
Survivors include: her husband of 30 years, Forrest Crawford, Sr. of Palestine; sons, James Lookabaugh and wife Renee of Athens, Kenneth Wayne Lookabaugh of Athens, Forrest Crawford and wife Diana of Elkhart, and Mike Crawford and wife Lisa of Palestine; sisters, Jackie Spencer and husband Steve of Palestine, Cricket Holcomb and husband Tim of Rusk, Debra Amos of Murchison, Pam Chappell and husband John of Mabank, Diana Kotil and husband Elwood of Athens, Rhonda Browning and husband Danny of Mabank and Kimbery Darden of Brownsboro; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Condolence calls will be received from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013, at Herrington / Land of Memory Funeral Home, 3434 S. Loop 256, Palestine, TX 75801.
