Pamela Renee’ Johnson

Athens — Pamela Reneé Johnson was born in Wichita Falls on Feb. 15, 1956 to Cleo Gifford and Doris Nell Spradley Fancher and departed this earthly life on Aug. 26, 2013.  She lived in Wichita Falls until she was 17 months-old when the family moved to Graham where she lived with her parents and five older siblings.

She attended Graham Public Schools including Graham High School.  She married Johnny D. Johnson who was a senior at the school where she was a freshman.  Although young, they fell in love and married one year later on Aug. 13, 1972.   They moved to Nacogdoches where Johnny was attending Stephen F. Austin University.  She finished high school and attended one year of college there.

They moved from there to Breckenridge and later to Graham where they raised their three children – Jacob, Jocelyn Reneé and Jennifer Jordan, who all live in the DFW area.  Pam and Johnny joined their children there when they moved to Irving in 2008.

Pam is survived by: her husband of 41 years, Johnny Johnson; her son, Jacob and wife Staci; two daughters, Jocelyn Beck and husband Nathan and Jennifer McAdams and husband Aaron; four grandchildren, Hunter and Drew Johnson, Bennett McAdams and Tristyn Beck.

Pam is also survived by four siblings and their spouses, Carolyn and Gene McIntyre of Athens, Mary and Duane Cutter of Oklahoma City, Okla., Gary and Laura Fancher of Arlington, Duane and Sandy Fancher of Keller, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as a host of friends and loved ones.

Pam was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, LaNell McAnear.

Pam lived a life in joyous relationship with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  She was gifted by the Lord with many talents which she used to bring glory to His wonderful Name, writing and singing many praise and worship songs.  She enjoyed sewing, cooking, knitting and tending to her grandchildren. She loved her family with a passion.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013 at 10 a.m. in Pioneer Cemetery in Graham where she will await the Lord’s call on Resurrection Day when we will all be reunited with Him.

A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. in Eastside Church of Christ in Graham.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 31 at 4 p.m. at the Irving Church of Christ, 210 E. 6th St., Irving, TX 75060.
