BROWNSBORO - Services for David Kendall Drummond, 53, Brownsboro are scheduled for 5:00 P M Thursday at the Shelby Chapel Cemetery Pavilion with Rev. John E. Green officiating.
Burial will follow in the Shelby Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home.
Mr. Drummond passed away February 23, 2014 at home.
He was born June 14, 1960 in Dallas to parents Robert Eugene and Laverne Maness Drummond. Following graduation from Cayuga High School where he was a linebacker for Cayuga’s first football team, David then graduated from University of Texas at Tyler. He served in the United States Army six years receiving innumerable commendations for his dedication to the Special Forces. Upon being medically discharged due to injuries sustained, he returned to Henderson County to live.
He is survived by his wife Joyce Ann “Joy” Drummond, Brownsboro; his parents, sisters Deborah Renee Brown, Dallas, Tamara Susan Reyes, Athens, Dealva Michelle Mingus, Lake Tawakoni; stepdaughter Natasha James and husband Heath, Krum; eight nephews and nieces.
Visitation for family and friends will be 5-7 P M Wednesday at the funeral home.
