Patsy Alford Scott, our beautiful Tyler Rose, went home to be with The Lord on March 13, 2013. "Mimi" was born in Dallas to Bryant and Edith Alford of Tyler on Jan 21, 1934. She celebrated 55 years of marriage to the love of her life, Dr. Daniel E. Scott.
Pat was a beloved mother of three girls and grandmother of five grandchildren. She devoted her life not only to her children, but also served as a school teacher in Tyler, followed by a long career in Dallas working for Neiman Marcus in the children's department for over 22 years.
Her beauty and radiant personality will be greatly missed by her husband Dan, daughters Debbie Lane of Dallas, Pam Shown and her husband Bill of San Antonio, and Holly Francois and her husband Lee of Murchison, granddaughters Jordan Pounds and husband Trevor, Taylor Lane, Cody Shown and Sydney Roland and grandson Will Shown. She also leaves behind her cherished brother, Dr. Bobby Alford and wife Othelia of Houston.
Visitation will be held at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home Thursday, March 14 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m., Friday, at First United Methodist Church in Murchison with the Rev. Brooks Taylor, the Rev. Leonard Jackson, and the Rev. Lee Francois officiating.
Burial will follow in Red Hill Cemetery.
