Athens —
Gloria Jean Nesbitt passed away Monday, Feb. 18 at her home in Luling. Born Oct. 3, 1938 to John Calhoun and wife Leola Tanner Calhoun. She was a teacher for many years.
She is survived by her two daughters, Kassaundra Nesbitt of Luling and Dee Dee and Chris Jones of Kingsbury, one son, Bill and Leslie Nesbitt of Keller, three grandchildren, Laney Jones, Olivia Nesbitt and Tanner Nesbitt, two sisters, Nelda Calhoun, of Athens and Pam Calhoun, of Dallas, one brother, Freddie Calhoun, of Arlington.
She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Billy Calhoun.
Services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 23 at O’Bannon Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be held Sunday, Feb. 24 at 2 p.m. in the Shelby Chapel Cemetery in Athens.
