MURCHISON-Services for Karen (Lopuck) Slagle, 63, Murchison are scheduled for 2 p.m., Wednesday in Carroll Lehr Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Eric Graham officiating.
Burial will follow in Davis Cemetery.
Mrs. Slagle died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012 in Tyler.
She was born Aug. 18, 1949 in Minneapolis, Minn. to Stanley and Jean Bashucky Lopuck. She married Edwin Carroll Slagle July 15, 1967.
Karen was formerly of California. She was a registered nurse, and had worked for V. C. Davis Medical Center for numerous years, retiring prior to moving to Murchison in 2003. She decided to go back into nursing at ETMC-Tyler, retiring again in 2009.
Karen was a member of Sand Springs Baptist Church in Athens. She loved all animals, and loved the outdoors.
Survivors include husband (Edwin) Carroll Slagle, Murchison, sons Brett Slagle and wife Toni-Ann, Wappingers Falls, N.Y., Russell Slagle, Southern California, Lance Slagle and wife Melissa, Portland, Ore., daughter Kimberly Slagle-Pastor, Portland, Ore., grandchildren Brandon Jared-Pastor, Lyndsie Pastor, Breann Slagle and Alexis Slagle, brother Stephen Lopuck, Glendale, Calif., Robert Lopuck, Calif.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Mitchell, James Addy, Michael Christopher, Kenny Cowley, Justin Carlson and Jack Stanford.
Visitation for family and friends will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
