Athens — Harold W. Killpatrick was born June 24, 1926, in Kaufman County, and went home to be with our Lord on April 12, 2013 at the age of 86 in Smith County.    Harold married the late Bobby Don Mathis in 1947, and moved from Pleasant Grove to Eustace in 1959.  They had two children, Karen Tumlinson and Steve Bell.

Harold was in business in the Cedar Creek Lake area for 25 years as Bolin and Killpatrick Construction.  He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, was a 50-year Mason and a Henderson County Constable for 16 years.

Harold married Mary Corry King in 2003.  Harold enjoyed traveling as a 30-year member of the Cedar Creek Lakers RV Club, and was a member of the Cross Roads United Methodist Church. His love was his family, his farm in Eustace and armchair coaching from home for the Rangers, Mavericks and Cowboys.

Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Bobby of 49 years and his son Steve Bell of Eustace, sisters Hazel Wiley,  and  Dot Roby. 

He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Mary Corry King Killpatrick, his children, daughter and husband, Karen and Noel Tumlinson, of  Athens. daughter-in law Mary Bell of Eustace, Debbie and Gary Reaves, of Athens, Jody King, of Athens;  grandchildren Wesley Don Ashton, Bobby Karl and Carla Ashton, Steven and Norma Bell and Justin and Julie Bell,  Jonathan Davis, Ryan Davis, Alicia King and Zachary King; great-grandsons Mikel and Justin Smith, Kelly and Zach Ashton; great-granddaughters Emma Bell and Charlsey Feagins.

Pallbearers are Bobby Karl Ashton, Steven Bell, Justin Bell, Wesley Don Ashton, Lonnie Bubba Byers and Stephen Cash.

The Rev. Bill Newman lead the service Monday, April 15, 2013 at 2 p.m. at the Eubanks Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank. Burial followed at Moorehead-Melton Cemetery in Eustace. Family and friends visitation was  Sunday, April 14, 2013, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cross Roads United Methodist Church, 14270 Highway 59, Athens, TX 75751.
