Malakoff – Funeral services for Olgia Lou Dickerson, 80, of Malakoff, Texas are scheduled for 2 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013 at the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home in Athens with the Rev. Larry Fondren officiating.
Ms. Dickerson went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013 in Malakoff, Texas.
Olgia Lou Chaney Dickerson was born June 30, 1933 in Martins Mill to Titus and Erma Anders Chaney. She was a member of the Landmark Baptist Church of Athens and an active member of the Women’s Sunday School Class. She enjoyed reading her Bible and gardening. Ms. Dickerson was a retired bookkeeper. She loved her grandchildren and spending time with her family. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by those she loved.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Don Dickerson and one brother.
She is survived by: daughters, Phyllis and husband Rick Williams of Athens, Cindy Dickerson of Greenville: five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Serving as pallbearers are Ricky Don Williams, Craig Williams, Joshua Williams, Donald Rollins, Llake Rollins, Jimmy Rollins, Jason Salmon, Waylon Salmon and Willie Salmon.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home in Athens.
