Brownsboro- Memorial services for Wayne Edward Cook, 54 of Brownsboro, are scheduled for Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Rockhill Baptist Church, Brownsboro, with the Rev. Robert Welch officiating.
Mr. Cook passed away June 3, 2013 in Brownsboro.
He was born July 13, 1958 in Bryan. Mr. Cook spent many years serving as a law enforcement officer. His career abruptly ended when he was severely injured in the line of duty while working for University Park, Dallas. He was a 32nd-degree Mason, as well as a member of the Shriners. His hobbies included hunting and fishing.
Mr. Cook was preceded in death by his son, Carson Cook, stepfather William H. Thacker, stepsister Linda Kay Van Horn, uncles Joseph W. Quitta and Malvin Bailey and grandson Layne Self.
Survivors include his wife, Annette Cook, Brownsboro, daughters Sarah Cook, Brownsboro, Elizabeth Ratliff and her husband Harley, Rhone, Jennifer Cook, Waxahachie, sons Cody, Collin and Chance Cook all of Waco, stepdaughters Ruby Dewana Self and husband Wayne, Stacey Green, mother Marie Thacker, Tyler, father William W. Driggars, Ladson, S.C., brother Vincent Driggers and wife Leslie, Anahauc, sister Linda Banks and husband Bryan, Tyler, stepsister, Oline McNeese and husband Doug, Debra Smith, Orsville, Wash., half-brother William Driggers, Ladson, S.C., uncle Wes Quitta and wife Judy, Murchison, aunt Louise Bailey, Murchison.
He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
