Services for James Emory Adair, 71, of Athens, Texas, are scheduled for 9:30 a.m., July 24, 2013 at Liberty Cemetery with the Rev. Perry Smith and the Rev. Bobby Conner officiating, under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home, Canton.
Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery, Martins Mill.
He passed away July 21, 2013 in Athens.
Mr. Adair was born Nov. 28, 1941 in Athens, to William Herbert and Odena Maxine Flowers Adair.
James grew up in Athens and lived in the Bethel Community.
Surviving are: wife, Brenda Faye Adair of Athens; son, Glenn Emory Adair of Athens; daughter, Melinda and Randy Gandy of Athens; daughter, Delinda Woods of Athens; six grandchildren, Hanna Marie Adair, Crystal Tierce and Brian, Brandy Gandy, Jamie Gandy and Tiffany, Chad Crowell and Summer, Stefanie Walker; great-grandchildren, Keiley Tierce, Karsen Tierce, Addisyn Gandy, Lane Walker, Greenlee Crowell, Cutter Crowell; brother, Harlon and Janet Adair of Athens; sister, Carolyn and Bobby Conner of Bullard; aunts; uncles; numerous nieces; nephews and cousins.
James was preceded in death by his parents.
Family will receive friends Tuesday 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
