Athens — Athens – Memorial services for Eldeva Huddleston, 82, of Athens, are scheduled for 11 a.m., Friday, Jan. 31, 2014 at the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Paul McKinney officiating.  Interment will follow at a later date in the Athens Cemetery in Athens. 

Eldeva passed away on Jan. 25, 2014 in Athens.

Eldeva J. Cathcart Huddleston was born Aug. 26, 1931, in Red River County, Texas to Charles Everett Cathcart and Ophelia Cathcart. 

Deva was preceded in death by her loving husband, David R. Huddleston, her parents and one brother, Malcolm Cathcart.  

She is survived by: two sons, Scott Huddleston and wife Brenda of Athens, Keith Huddleston of Athens; one daughter, Lori Smith and husband Mike of Payne Springs; one sister Lewis of Midland; and grandchildren. 

The family would like to give special thanks to all of the staff and friends at South Place Nursing Center in Athens. 

Arrangements were entrusted to the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home Family in Athens.
