Athens — Les Williams, of Kaufman was born on Sept. 16,1936, and passed away on Feb. 9, 2010.
Les was born and raised in Kemp, the eldest son of Lester C. Williams Sr. and Floy Williams, both of whom preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his son, James Leslie Williams.
Les is survived by his wife of 29 years Judith; his daughters, Melissa Mack, of Ft. Worth; and Andrea Richardson, of Kaufman; as well as brother, Dennis Williams, of Whitehouse.
Les devoted the last 32 years of his life to sharing his story with others in the hope that they might find sobriety and serenity. He is truly loved and will be missed by many.
Memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church, on 208 South Houston Street, in Kaufman on Monday, Feb. 15, 2010, at 11 a.m.
Lunch will be provided for family and friends directly following the service.
