ATHENS — EUSTACE-Memorial services for Gus Jones, 75, Eustace, are scheduled for Saturday Feb. 9, 2013 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses 3650 N.E. Loop 7 in Athens with Wayne Greenhaw officiating.

Mr. Jones passed away Jan. 23, 2013 in Tyler.

He was born Oct. 27, 1937 in San Saba to the late Melvin Dewey and Ima Francis Millican Jones. Mr. Jones was raised in the Fort Worth area. He served our country for four years with the U.S. Marines. He eventually moved to Eustace where he had resided for the past 30 years. He loved and had a passion for country music. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Marsha Jones, Eustace; sons Scott Jones and his wife True, New York, N.Y., Travis Jones, Log Cabin, Michael Jones and wife Diane, Garland, Kelly Bass and wife Cyndi, Eustace; brothers Robert Jones, Burleson, Frank Jones, Clifton, Jerry Jones, Laguna Park; sisters Ruth Allen, Atlanta, Ga., Amelia Serna, Clifton; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
